An evolving
space for
evolving people
Belstead House is a 17th-century home in Suffolk, thoughtfully reimagined for retreats, team gatherings, creative workshops and meaningful events.
From yoga studios and pottery workshops to community dinners, creative events and restorative escapes, every room has been designed to bring people together.
Belstead House is more
than a place to stay. It’s
a deeply creative home
where people come to
reconnect with themselves
and each other
A house with history
Belstead House has been bringing people together for generations.
Dating from the 16th or early 17th century, the house has evolved many times throughout its life. In the 20th century it became a place for residential learning and adult education, welcoming people through its doors to meet, learn and exchange ideas.
Today, a new chapter is beginning.
Rather than erase what came before, we're building upon it, preserving the character, quirks and history of the house while giving it a renewed purpose for the way we live, work and connect today.
The house may be historic, but what happens inside it is very much alive.
Belstead House is a place for individuals, friends, teams, makers, thinkers, teachers, businesses and communities. A setting for experiences that bring people together, encourage curiosity and create a little distance from everyday routines.
Some will come to learn. Some to make. Some to celebrate. Some to think differently.
Everyone will use the house in their own way.
Made for people
Belstead House is still evolving.
We're thoughtfully restoring and reimagining the house and its spaces, working with its history rather than against it. As we grow, so will the programme of retreats, workshops, gatherings, creative experiences and collaborations that happen here.
What remains constant is the idea at the heart of it: A historic house, re-made for modern connection.
A new chapter
